    Spicy Tomato Sauce Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots sliced (white or orange)
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 1/3 cups of Habanero California Extra Virgin Olive
  • 1 onion finely sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 can of tomato pulp
  • 1 tsp flaked hot red peppers
  • salt and ground pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1 cup of grated parmesan or Mozzarella for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil spaghetti (al dente) as per manufacturer instructions; rinse, set aside.
  2. Heat Habanero California Extra Virgin Olive in a large frying skillet and sauté onion and garlic with a pinch of salt.
  3. Add tomatoes and stir for one minute.
  4. Add water, flaked peppers, basil, and water; stir well.
  5. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes over medium-low heat; occasionally stir.
  6. Add the spaghetti and remove it from the hit.
  7. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
  8. Sprinkle with grated cheese and serve.
