    Murky Figs Marmalade

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ripe figs, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 1 1/4 cups of natural brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Fig Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp dark rum
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place figs in a large bowl or container.
  2. Sprinkle sugar over figs and add Fig Balsamic Vinegar.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for about 4 hours.
  4. Place the fig mixture over medium-high heat; stir well.
  5. Bring to boil; reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 30 minutes.
  6. Stir every 4 to 5 minutes and remove foam if it appears on the surface.
  7. Add rum and ground cinnamon; cook for 15 minutes.
  8. Transfer your marmalade into hot glass jars and let cool completely.
  9. Store jars in a dark place in your pantry.
