Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cornflour
  • 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 to 3 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 sachets dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. Mix the cornflour, all-purpose flour, Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. In a second bowl, dilute yeast in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and process until smooth.
  4. Pour the yeast slowly into a flour mixture.
  5. Add the remaining water and start kneading for 10-12 minutes by hand or 8 minutes with a mixer.
  6. Cover and allow the dough to rise for about one hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  8. Grease a 9-inch baking dish with Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  9. Bake for about 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
